This natural Slate Irish Welcome Sign with 'Cead Mile Failte' which translates to 'one hundred thousand welcomes' comes with a rose gold painted finish and features a celtic shamrock design.
'Cead mile failte' translates to 'one hundred thousand welcomes' or there's no place like home, the warmest welcome you will ever receive and adorned with the Shamrock for which St. Patrick used to explain the holy trinity. The three leaves also said to stand for faith, hope and love & a bit of Irish luck!! Hang on a front door, porch, use as a quirky gate, garden sign or inside your pub, home bar, basement. A lovely unique wee piece of Ireland to cherish & to welcome all your friends & family.
Traditionally hand sandblasted & sealed with a clear lacquer, the plaque will be drilled, strung with jute string and ready to be attached to your preferred area. Each piece of reclaimed slate has been locally sourced in the Glens of Antrim. Whether from an old homestead roof or an old building, each piece of slate has its own little story to tell.
As slate is a natural material no two pieces will be the same, there will be a variation in texture and some pieces may have particles of 'fools gold' but this all adds to its Irish beauty.
The size of this plaque is approx. 50cm x 10cm.
