Shuppy is an online marketplace of independent Irish retailers who all share the same vision of delivering high-quality products and services.


Using unique location-based search functionality we give consumers the option to select retailers both they and their loved one’s care about from wherever they are in the world.

Sign up in September and pay a low rate of 15% Commission for the first six months with no additional charges*. Those who sell the “Shuppy Gift Certificate” which will be unique to their offering will be charged a commission rate of 10%.

  1. Who can sell on Shuppy?

    Shuppy will list an extensive range of businesses who offer interesting and innovative gift ideas. Our key stipulations will be both the provision of quality products and/or services, along with the provision of excellent customer service. Alongside traditional gifting products such as artwork and hampers, we will also encourage those who can inspire others to list their offerings. For example, you may offer beginner music lessons for aspiring musicians, guided hill walks for those with an interest in getting out more or perhaps a gift certificate to spend at someone’s favourite local eatery! We aim to give consumers a new view on gifting and at the same time allow both budding entrepreneurs and well-established businesses the opportunity to have global exposure.

  2. How does the Shuppy Gift Certificate work?

    Each seller will be given the option to accept a Shuppy Gift Certificate at their premises. If you choose to sign up, each recipient will bring their unique Shuppy Gift Certificate with them at the point of redemption and the seller will be expected to input the presented verification code into their individual seller’s portal. The amount redeemed less our commission charge will become payable immediately via our integrated payments system. Any balance left on the gift certificate can be used by the recipient up to the date of expiry.

  3. Do I need to have an online presence already?

    No, unlike some other marketplaces, you can use  Shuppy  as your own unique online trading platform. We offer full support with all aspects of set-up and maintenance of your shop on our site.

  4. What do I need to become a seller on  Shuppy?

    All we ask is that you are a registered, independent business with less than five physical stores at the point of registering.

  5. Why is  Shuppy  only for Independent Retailers and Businesses?

    We believe independent businesses are at the heart of local communities and economies. Our primary mission is to help these Grassroots enterprises to prosper and aid in the battle against large multinationals.

  6. Do my product images need to be taken professionally?

    Not at all! It is vital to remember, though, that the better your images are, the more you are likely to sell. Product images are essential in the world of online marketplaces but to make it easier for you, we offer full guidance and support in how to take product images yourself.

  7. I am not very good with digital, is it possible that someone from  Shuppy  can help?

    Of course! We are here to help with all aspects of your business across the Shuppy site.

  8. Is there a limit to the number of products I can upload?

    No, but to stay in line with our unique offering as a gifting site we do ask that you carefully select only your very best products which would meet the criteria of being a ‘gift’.

  9. How do I get paid?

    We will pay you every two weeks based on orders which have been dispatched within that time. You will be paid your total sales less our commission charges – we only charge commission on the sale price after shipping has been deducted.

  10. Can I cancel my profile?

    You can cancel your membership at any time, free of charge and as soon as any outstanding orders have been fulfilled.

  11. How does delivery work?

    To make it easier, we leave the delivery to you – this means you can work to your schedule as opposed to ours when getting your orders out. All we ask is that you set out expected delivery times on your listed products so customers know what to expect.
